ACBKA Members Present Westwood Afterschool Program
Education Chairwoman, Kim Pitts, shares beekeeping fun with a student at Westwood Elementary. Jim Rash and Rachel Gee share about pollination and honey bees during a recent afterschool program. Children from Westwood Elementary enjoy an observation hive and seeing live honeybees.
Master Beekeeper Jim Rash presented with Lifetime Achievement Award
Former President Wayne Pitts and current President Todd Swanson present Master Beekeeper, Jim Rash with the prestigious “Ashe County Beekeeper Lifetime Achievement Award” at our recent meeting.
Jim has been instrumental in the education and mentoring program in association with the Wilkes Community College for years.
